We decided to grow our plants in polytunnels as they were cheaper than glass / fibre houses to construct. |
|
. |
|
|
. |
Furthermore, polytunnel suitability for plant growth is high, the only setback appears to be maintaining temperatures above 4⁰C. |

was in need of repair and was not on our site. |

After contacting several UK polytunnel suppliers, and making a
detailed comparism of products offered, we chose
First Tunnels
as our supplier. |

Due to delays in preparing land for the tunnel, we opted
for a short term solution for shade - a shade tent. Unfortunately, this
collapsed under a very mild wind. |

The first order of Kentias arrived and we had nowhere to
put them... except the trailer. |

It started to get cold, so we moved the trailer into the
shed. |

The Kentia were in the shed for too long without sunlight,
so we moved them in front of our house. |

It started to get colder, so we covered our plants with
fleece. |

Finally, in late October 2023 Tunnel 1 was suitable for
incorporating plants. |
